The ECL examination consists of four modules — Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The Reading, Writing and Listening modules start at a unified time at all examination sites on the date established by the ECL Examination Centre. The Reading and Writing modules are administered first, followed by the Listening module. The Speaking module may be conducted on the same day as the written modules or within two weeks during the same examination period, according to a schedule set by the examination site.
