Recognition by Universities in Poland

The ECL Certificate at Level B2 is officially recognized in Poland as valid proof of language proficiency in Polish or English for the purpose of university admission.

This applies to international students applying for higher education programs conducted in Polish or English at universities in Poland.

Certificates issued by the European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages (ECL) are listed among officially accepted documents confirming:

Polish language proficiency at level B2 or higher

English language proficiency at level B2 or higher

Legal basis: Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 30 July 2025 on the types of documents confirming knowledge of the language of instruction in higher education programs.
