Quality assurance is ensured through a clearly structured test development process as well as through both qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the results:
- Constructing the first version of the test.
- Review of the tests by experts. During a meeting, suggested changes are discussed and then incorporated into the respective test versions by the test developers.
- Review of the revised, second version of the test.
- Pretesting of the exam materials, followed by qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the results.
- Revision of the tests based on the evaluation.
- Preparation of the final version of the exam materials and training of the assessors.
- Administration of the exam and assessment of candidate performance.
- Qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the exam results.
- Drawing of conclusions.
- Decision by the examination board on any necessary changes to the exam and its implementation.
