Level A2 (Beginner)

Speech Intentions / Speech Acts

 Establishing and maintaining communication: greetings and farewell, introduction, thanking, seeking attention

  1. Giving and receiving personal information: identifying, describing, locating and asking about persons, places and things
  2. Personal attitudes (like/love, likes/dislikes/praise) and simple comparisons
  3. Request, suggestion/proposal, invitation, permission, acceptance and rejection
  4. Speaking about events: giving and receiving information about habitual events and actions (present); giving and receiving information about past events and actions using short, memorised phrases (past); giving and receiving information about future events and actions (in the case of German and English)
