Founded in 1995 by Kinga Bereczki, Eurocenter Amőba has been guided by the motto “Knowledge is the best investment.” Its mission has always been to combine modern knowledge with traditional values, supporting the region’s social and economic development. “We are convinced that knowledge determines the foundation of progress,” the organization’s mission statement declares. “That is why we are committed to fostering learning and forward-thinking for the benefit of our community.”
Eurocenter Amőba’s activities extend well beyond the borders of the region. As a trusted partner of the International ECL Examination Centre for 20 years, it has established a strong network of exam sites across Romania. The organization primarily offers English language exams, providing thousands of students with valuable opportunities to demonstrate their language skills.
On 10–11 October 2025, Eurocenter Amőba hosted a jubilee celebration to mark both its 30th anniversary and 20 years of ECL exam organization in Romania. The International ECL Examination Centre was represented by Dr. Réka Werner, Head of the Centre, and Dr. Róbert Märcz, Head of the English Test Development Team. In their congratulatory speeches, they both highlighted the excellent professional collaboration and the close personal ties that have developed between the two institutions over the years.
